This Saturday, 10/28/2017, was the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk at Santa Monica!
It was a great turnout with 14 people participating, a great increase from past year's turnouts. Compared to 2015 and 2016 turnouts, we received over triple the amount we did then!
Members of ACS proudly wore their pink club shirts and heart caps to spread love and support to the community of breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families and friends. New members got to experience what it is like to be a part of the American Cancer Society.
We also had plenty of fun before the walk, as we took pictures at an inflatable chair, enjoyed food and beverages, and took part in the group stretching. After the walk, we got to do some memorable club bonding as we screamed on the roller coasters and watched the waves at the pier (and witness birds that looked like Jihan).
All in all, today's Breast Cancer Walk was an amazing experience for everyone, and was a very successful first out of school fundraiser of the ACS Club. A big thank you to everyone who came, and the board members who helped organize the event for the club! :)
